The F-Bomb

I don't know what I was thinking when I got that pan. It's not worth the trouble at this point. Thanks for the input, but I'm taking the easy way out at this point. The nice windage tray fit under the stock pan, which I KNOW fits, so that went into service. I will still have plenty of oil in the mot...

Re: The F-Bomb

Turns out, I won't be using that oil pan, back to the stocker. I'll still run the windage tray. I wanted the baffling and extra capacity, but I can't have it all. It's not worth cutting this pan up right now. I'll stick it back on the shelf. Have you ever had a setback that just kind of ruins your w...

Re: Norra 1000

I saw pics of the Method truck on Instagram. It was built by Jake Velasco. The rear is similar to a Robby Gordon truck, with nothing coming down from the top of the cab. It was a full tube back half, iirc. It seems to be a full kill prerunner. I want to know how wide it is. It has 3" autofab fenders...

Re: Norra 1000

That 74 looks really good with the stock front bumper. I've been seeing it on instagram, nice to see a pic in action.

I got my steering box back from Howe, they do really nice work. I sent them a brand new box, basically. It had been on the truck, but never driven. They still repainted it and detailed it to the point of being brand new all over again. Now it's special, it has custom stops for my trucks steering. ht...

Re: "Oldbaja"

That's so nice, to be able to unbolt the rear section of cage. Painting will be so much easier. I was pretty much hanging upside down painting the back of my cab. I bumped my head on tubes, scratched my back on tabs, all while trying to snake through tube work.

I can't wait to see how it turns out.

35x12.5x15 on 8" wheels.

I'm currently waiting on my steering box. I sent it back to Howe for internal stops. Unfortunately, they're really busy this time of year, so it's been a while. I should have it soon, though. Waiting to get that back in before stabbing the motor in.

Re: The F-Bomb

No, there was about 3 dentsides. I didn't look for early style vans, but I noticed there wasn't any late model vans. I was in and out pretty quick. This supercab must have been fresh, it hadn't been completely stripped. There's a nice set of beams under it. If anybody goes and gets them, I'll take t...

Quick follow up on the K02's: I love them. I have some miles on them now and I am really liking them. I made a trip to the pyp in Wilmington. I had to get a section of dash so I could delete the ash tray and cigarette lighter on mine. I ended up coming home with a new dash pad also. It's not perfect...

Re: Nothing special class3 pics

It's ok. I'm on my second house now and my projects not done! I did find myself "rewarding" myself for a job well done on the house, by buying truck parts. If you can't spend time on it spend money.

I really do like this project, though. Looking forward to more free time!

Re: Oldbaja. Chase

I'm sure Steve was talking about Performance Plus in LB. They can do it all, including polishing. I'm pretty sure they still send out stuff for machining, but they have a full polish shop on site, what a mess... I skipped that, though. I had mine powder coated black. I like them on my van. My van is...

On the upholstery guy, he is a semi-retired guy that works out of a one car garage in Long Beach . He doesn't have room to park anything. A friend of mine keeps him busy, but he brings him seats to recover, never whole cars. I think any decent upholstery shop could do wonders for 90% of all the prer...

Thanks for the encouragement, I need it. I'm getting worn out. I had to take some time to get some things done on my van that I drive daily. It had a bunch of things wrong that I'd put off fixing because I was working on the truck... I had planned on getting the motor in this weekend, but between th...

Strange, one of the pictures that posted isn't mine, never been on my phone, etc. Odd.
