Boy, does it go away fast. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/09/4360741111d5cb6431d9ba535d2c91a5.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15...

The F-Bomb
I haven't updated, but I've been busy. I've been spending all my free time on the truck. I'll try to share some of the pics I've taken along the way. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/09/9d7d905b7dd26085bb28b302ed8c1136.jpg I got my door panels on for good. I sprayed some old ones gray. I did get...

Re: White 1994 F-150 Sleeper Build
I dig this truck. I'd love to have one of these 92-96 style trucks, especially in white. Seeing this one make me want one more. I've got 5 cars already, not counting the wife's.
I'm going to have to live vicariously through you. Great job on the truck.

Re: The F-Bomb
I've got a dual pass aluminum C&R that only required a small notch to be taken out of the core support. I actually got it from Steve... Progress has been slow, but steady. I have gathered up a few parts and modified some others. I'm trying to knock out a few projects on the house, then back on the t...

Re: McQueen Glass
I agree that it does look nice. I like it a lot more than the trailer products one piece that was made. It's too big for my truck for sure. Definitely for the big tires. It's hard to tuck big tires with the hood rolling over like it does stock. I would rather have the narrow hood than a 1 piece. I'm...

Re: McQueen Glass
So you have to cut the sides off of the hood? I take it these are super wide like the bedsides?

Prerunner Bronco Pic Post-& other cool stuff too...
This was parked at my motel in Baja. At first I thought it was just an old step side with a straight axle. Surprisingly, it was a TTB setup. No cage or fancy shocks, just a neat old truck. So I took a couple of crappy photos. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06/08/6ca59cc6b895725c3df7fef9990ce2d8.j...

I'm going down early friday morning, I think. As always, I'll be staying at the El Presidente.
If you see a couple of white boys riding around on rusty cruiser bicycles, it's probably me and my buddy. Say hello! Everyone be safe.

Re: The F-Bomb
That's exactly what was used, Autofab bushings. On both the top mount and trans mount. These should compliment the Autofab motor mounts nicely. Everything is consistent since all the bushings are the same. This was one of the things I wanted to do to hopefully give the truck some longevity. I just r...

I poked around today and got a couple of things done. I pulled my dash out and cut out the ash tray/lighter area. Then I fitted up a piece to replace it. I want to make room for an a/c vent. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/25/899f99e1c5dfd3c6404424b58f1b0306.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/1...

Re: The F-Bomb
Baja- You probably saw me the day I took it to get the glass put in. I've seen your Bronco around a time or two, I live in Rossmoor, I'm sure it was around there somewhere. The top mount provides extra support, same concept as a mid-plate. That's a pretty long span between the motor and trans mounts...

Re: The F-Bomb
Thanks for the kind words. I'll fink in the blanks. The engine is in the stock location. The air cleaner was needed to clear the tube and upper motor mount. When it was built and mocked up we used the stock motor. The stock intake is much lower, and truthfully, I don't think it ever had a carb on it...

Re: The F-Bomb
I did the side glass myself. Like you, I wasn't looking forward to it, but it's pretty easy. I put new rubber in the windwings as well, so I had them apart also. There's not much to it. It's nice to be able to have the cab sealed and secure, suck it buggy guys.
I need to get after my dash now.

I also got some stuff back from anodizing, this served no purpose but eye candy. I was bummed about the mismatched hubs, so I stripped the Autofab hubs and faced the engraving off of the rears. Then polished everything and sent it to anodize. I threw a few more parts in, as well. Growing up an 80's ...

I took the truck to have the glass installed, something I've been worried about since the cage was built. That was a long time ago, if you're just joining in. Luckily I took it to a pro, because it was tough. The cage tubes and plating get so close, there's almost no room for the rubber. He ordered ...

I finally pushed it out of the backyard where I could stand back and see it from a distance. I only had it out for a minute before I got it loaded on the trailer. It's going to get front and rear glass put in. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/13/b26f19a0dea0bdc3c479afdfb4349571.jpg http://images...

I spent some time bolting things to the front of my motor. I also spent some time being frustrated that parts don't fit the way they should. Then I spent time taking an angle grinder to "bolt on" parts. I got sidetracked replacing inadequate hardware, but ultimately, I got some things sorted out. So...

The valve covers are from Blue Thunder. I've always loved those, so I had to have a set. They're heavy cast aluminum, so they look great next to the intake. They're also huge, which is a plus.

So, I had a pretty good day. I got my intake bolted on, and my pushrods in. On FE motors, the pushrods run through the intake manifold. I had also left them out so there wasn't any pressure on the valve springs. Once I was able to hang the motor on the cherry picker, I bolted the flexplate up. Next,...
