Re: Adding rear air + cab pressurization system.

I used to buy my blowers from WW Grainger. They have the 150 cfm blower that you're looking for. Walker Evans tried to run an air conditioned cab in his class 8 truck. It's next to impossible to create enough pressure to make a real difference.

Re: Power Steering Pump Upgrades/Coolers

I am a fan of extruded aluminum tubing for power steering coolers as they have excellent cooling properties and the big plus of being rock resistant. The one I use in the race car is 3" ID and 12" long. Lee was the pioneer of off road steering and Blazer's box was originally done by him , so that's ...

Re: Class 3

Here's a thought. Why don't we draft Curt LeDuc for a Class 3 rules review. He is one of the few people I know who has significant experience in building a wide range of class 3 and class 4 4wd trucks. He has raced TTB trucks and Jeeps. Jon your point about the Bronco being the best platform is true...

Re: Class 3

I don't mean to rain on the Cherokee guys, because I think that JeepSpeed has been a very racer friendly deal. I would build a Grand because it has everything the Cherokee lacks, but the previous unknown of having Savage tech it was always a major concern. We all saw what happened when Clive tried t...

Re: Class 3

Forget the Cherokee. An LJ/ extend TJ is the ticket. Full Frame. The rules are going to change in this class. Backdateing and updating for a manufacturer should be restored. There is no reason not to have V-8 powered Jeeps. I know the Bronco guys would like to preserve their advantages, but it's tim...

Re: Glen Strightiff/Chris Wilson C3 build

I know that the rear leaf set-up that is under Glen/ Chris Blazer is legal, but referenced the four corner coilover status, because it is one of the major issues that may help the class move along. Now that all of the sanctioning bodies have the 4400 (unlimited 4x4) class, you can go coil over all ...

Re: Night racing in Baja

It wasn't too bad, maybe ten to fifteen minutes, although the usual, it seemed like it was forever. We were willing to drag someone up with us if it got us moving things along faster, but it wasn't needed. That next climb would have been a bitch in 2wd, because it was hard to get momentum with a sha...

Night racing in Baja

http://youtu.be/9fLWOQG24ww I thought my Bronco buddies would like to see what it's like to ride in a Blazer for a few minutes, 33. The setting, 2007 Baja 1000, the road to Mike's Sky Rancho. We spit a front drive shaft, just after making the last right hand turn before going up the long graded roa...

Re: Score Baja 250 San Felipe

Speaking for myself, my business has been under severe pressure for the last three years, I am a stockbroker that specializes in community banks. The only reason that I'm not racing is cash, not leaf springs. I'm optimistic that I will be back out again later this season.

Re: Glen Strightiff/Chris Wilson C3 build

Protest, protest.... just kidding. The primary objectors to the rules changes have primarily been from the EB guys. I don't think will they protest the body, but allowing coilovers on all four corners for everybody is going give them heartburn.

Race rules - New VORRA requirement for mandatory HNR use

I am posting a note with the hope of getting to my fellow Class 3 drivers. I have reponded in detail on RDC under the VORRA 2013 mandatory HNR use thread and also on VORRA's website.

I would like to know how many of my fellow Class 3 teams are currently using or plan on buying a HNR.

Re: Glen Strightiff/Chris Wilson C3 build

I have been to the Temple. The Temple of the BEAMS. TTB for short. The pictures don't do this Bronco justice... I pumped the jack to cycle the suspension while Chris marked where he was going to put the front bump stop pads. It is no wonder why they limited the front wheel travel in the class, fifte...

The welded arms that are on the Complete Fabrication Bronco are awesome. One of the original ttb guru's , Curt LeDuc, welds his on his prerunners.

Hey Chris, welcome to the site. Start a thread on your truck in the race vehicles forum. I'd also like to know how your research is going on the a-arm front end. I am still intersested in persuing a new build. This is a picture of Dale's Class 3 Blazer with IFS. I sent a copy of this shot to Savage...
