if you ripped the hose off, you potentially could have oblonged the bung and threads arent sealing. Time for a little update. Got the shock fixed (I thought) and took the truck to NW Nevada. 1625 miles later I'm home and I see that the hose is leaking where it screws into the shock body. Found out the lower radiator hose is wrong for trucks with the oil cooler built into the lower hose.
