That sounds like that one I was thinking of. Don't they make racing axles too? Short course guys seem to use them. Blanking on the name. I just keep having Speedway and Moser run through my head but know that's not it.
these guys?

and re: the welded ends; I trusted my man Jonny at Richer Racing to make that call- they are working really well so far. I will note that I wish they would STFU, the chatter is obnoxious. Anyone have ideas for me? I haven't really done anything to dial them in, and half the reason I 'upgraded' to K...

Re: Steering Systems - Stock, Superunner & Equal Len. Crossover

Can buy both splined rounds and flat plate pitman arms. I know that Sky Mfg does this for yota stuff, don't know (yet) who offers it for Fords. I don't see adding a second tapered hole to a pitman arm as all that difficult. It is work, but the difficulty as fab projects go, is low. Seems like 100 y...

Re: Willie's.....1992

do you want to deal with the shocks yourself or do you want a recommendation on someone who can get you fixed up? I am looking for input to see what others are running. too many variables especially since you are linked to the axle. typically in my experience if the rear is 'bucking' you dont have ...

Virtually all forum software systems allow the admins to set a specific amount of time after the user's initial post is submitted to edit it. Set it to give users 24 hours or something like that, so if we realize we made a mistake or left something out we can fix it, but not so long that someone ca...

Re: "Blanc-Oh!", my distraction

if you ripped the hose off, you potentially could have oblonged the bung and threads arent sealing. NPT threads have no place on a shock, but thats another rant for another day. you could weld a new bung on there or shave some of the top off with a grinder allowing it to get deeper i always had good...

Re: "Blanc-Oh!", my distraction

Time for a little update. Got the shock fixed (I thought) and took the truck to NW Nevada. 1625 miles later I'm home and I see that the hose is leaking where it screws into the shock body. Not sure that I can screw it in any more. Did get this pic somewhere up there: https://photos.smugmug.com/phot...

pull the motor or leave it in?

so i need to do a tune up, replace a water pump, deal with a bunch of exhaust leaks and replace all the freeze plugs in my bronco. the freeze plugs seems like a PITA to do with it in the vehicle. would it be simpler and easier to just pull the motor and handle all that stuff on an engine stand? plus...

Randy, I'd be fin bolting my hoop there. I'm not a fan of wending things like hoops directly to the frame. Quicker/easier for sure, but seems a bit like the lazy way out to me. If you make a cross member between the 2 shook hoops you shouldn't be putting any undue stress on that steering box area o...

pass bump and full lock driver my tire gets into my shocks. 35s on stock alcoas, cutnturn, stock fenders, no inner liners. for the beam side id say use the desolate ones, at $50 theyre cheap and give you a known starting point to build from. https://desolatemotorsports.com/shop/suspension/desolate-m...

Re: 1996 Eddie Bauer

Found out the lower radiator hose is wrong for trucks with the oil cooler built into the lower hose. The 90° and the proper lower hose together cost me another $140ish, and the guys at Johnny Lightning had to go pick them up for me. Felt like a dummy and it cost me extra $$ is there a fancy blue op...
