Re: The F-Bomb
At home you're probably not near WOT and only going 30mph, either. Silt hillclimbs are hard to find in Long Beach, turns out I wasn't as prepared as I thought. I have joked that my B500 experience was just a prerun for the prerun. I've been to Baja many times, but this was the first time taking MY t...

Re: The F-Bomb
I guess I haven't been around these parts in a while. My laptop has been dying a slow death, family stuff has kept me super busy, and I finished the stupid truck. Well, I still have a few more things to do before it's finished, but I've been driving it. On the street, then Barstow, then Baja for the...

Exhaust is on. I started adding fluids, getting ready for action. I even added the important fluid. I had mentioned earlier that I was going to be at the NexGen open house. I think I said the wrong date, actually, they changed it. Whatever, come on down if you can. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/02/04/4425fb1b803850a060b58e5cbefbf7ab.jpg One with the the belts on. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com...

A few updates. I finally solved all my accessory/belt issues. Multiple items needed to be machined to get it to all work. Not really the fault of the manufacture, I used a 427 style balancer which required machining the crank spacer. Then the Howe pumps are press fit, they only make brackets for bol...

Re: 1992 F-150 Custom
I like that light bar, good job. I want to build something for mine. I was going to do something similar to what I have on my van, which bolts to the top of the bumper. I like your's bolting to the front, it looks good. And the switch panel, I was jealous the first time I saw Nubreed's, damn. That's...

The interior is in. It was important to get in since the most of the electrical system and the rear brake lines all run through the center console. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01/26/473e84c68aa6d3330503688373719a17.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01/26/e377bc4f5ca92d17d137a36b17953557.jpg

I will pick up the correct hardware to bolt the new center panel in tomorrow, then get the seats and belts bolted in. Also, an update on the bilge fan. The thing moves a tremendous amount of air, BUT, it's pretty darn loud. It remains to be seen how well it works, but blasting music through the head...

I wanted to get some more work done today after work, but I really wanted to watch football, so I did something I could do inside. I always had plans for this area. I had welded some flat bar to the tubes a long time ago. I had a 12v power point wired up, I just needed to actually build the panel. D...

I got to spend a few hours this week on the truck. I had to run the return line for the fuel system, secured trams cooler and fuel lines, driveshaft is in and a few other things underneath. Then I played with the interior, trying to do something about running antennae and intercom cables. I want to ...

Re: The F-Bomb
Thanks for the encouragement guys. I've been working through the long weekend, so not much to report. I'm planning on taking a couple of days off this week and really getting after it. I have a lot of loose ends to tie up, but it's close!

That looks like the perfect truck to have a good time with the whole family. It looks like you had great weather in Ocotillo, nice pictures!

Re: 1992 F-150 Custom
I have the KO2's on my van, and love them. Great choice.
I first thought I would put 35's on my truck, but I really want to keep things simple. The 33's fill the stock wheel openings nicely without the headaches that bigger tires bring. Finally, a positive role model on this board!

Re: 1992 F-150 Custom
The f150 I just bought has the exhaust chopped off right where the muffler should be, so a couple of feet of pipe outside the stock cats. It's not loud at all, surprisingly. I have a Black Widow to put on it anyway. I like your side exit though, I might be doing mine that way as well. Sweet wheel an...

Re: The F-Bomb
I will be putting a shroud on it. That was taken into consideration when the mounts were made. There should be more than enough room to build something. No doubt it will be a PITA, but I wouldn't expect anything else! I'll have more pics once it's home, which should be soon. All of the wiring is don...
