Re: The F-Bomb
Well, like Steve mentioned, I had surgery on my shoulder a while back. I haven't been able to get too much done, but I've been chipping away at some little things. It's getting closer, but as they say, the last 10% takes 90% of the time. So, now, the only part anyone cares about...PICTURES! I've mou...

Re: "Oldbaja"
Love this truck. Had a chance to look it over a while back when it was at Autofab. I think Darren was mounting the engine accessories at the time. Engine compartment looked great, I remember it had some very nice looking headers. Keep posting pics!

Re: Philofab's shop Ranger
Did you know the nut on the pivot bolt was gone before you started driving? That seems like a pretty drastic way to save weight.
Looks like it will be a fun little project, if it doesn't snowball out of control...but you know they all do.

Did you get the seats from Steve? I remember the rad little pine trees in another bronco that fell victim to his plasma cutter.
This thing will be a fun little cruiser. I dig it.

Re: APEMFB's Air Force One aka The Silver Bullet
Looking forward to seeing more of this thing. Your parts list sounds like just about what I would put together if I were building one of these. I also have a soft spot for the early style front end. My Dad had an 86 F250, it was an extra cab, so it had the brick front end and the jail bar widows. I ...

Re: The F-Bomb
If I knew that an simple update would lead to so much Steve bashing... I would have posted sooner! To be fair, Steves shop isn't that messy, he just has too much stuff...and an Alfa Romeo. I've been busy as hell at work. Sure doesn't leave much time to work on the truck, but I've gathered some parts...

Re: The F-Bomb
I got all my panels buttoned on and built a couple more. I still need to attach the SS mesh material I used, it's just taped up for the pictures. It will get riveted on post paint or powder coat, not sure which way I'll go. http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa354/squirelmurphy/F100/IMG_9536.jpg ht...

Re: A pair of 74's...
It's about time you got something done on at least one of these trucks. I also wanted to log a formal complaint about your priorities, Fords before Alfas. That way once you start driving the AR, you'll have something to tow it with when it breaks down. See how that works?

Re: The F-Bomb
The roller is mounted on a big rig wheel center. I just threw down a moving blanket, then slid it across the floor. I have travertine tile, so it was easy. As for a completion date, hard to say. I'm not one for setting deadlines. I don't like to rush things, if I have to do it 3 times to be satisfie...

Re: The F-Bomb
Thanks. It's my first attempt at doing aluminum work like this. I used my bro-in-law's bead roller, nothing fancy, just an old hand powered Williams. I drug it in the house so I could work in air conditioned comfort. I had my wife turn the handle while I rolled it, all while watching college footbal...

Re: The F-Bomb
Small update, I turned my posterboard templates into aluminum. The time spent making good templates paid off, the panels fit pretty good. I still need to do a little tuning on them with the file, but they're close. I actually wrangled my wife into helping me bead roll the panels, I had her on the cr...

Re: The F-Bomb
Steve nailed it. It's at home now. Not a lot to update. I'm working on some aluminum panels and trying to finalize brackets and pulleys on the motor. Culhane should be done any month now with my tranny, then I can stab it in there and start work on the headers. Some of the pics that I posted were fr...

Re: Non bronco new guy
Bike looks good and thearage looks too clean Mike. Take down that danged "Overpriced U" flag though! The wife is an alumni, I'm just a football fan! The only reason the garage is clean is because I have the rafters full of car parts/junk. I try to keep as little as possible in the actual work space.

Re: The F-Bomb
Thanks for the compliments, guys. I know everyone likes pictures, so I'm trying to get everyone up to speed with what's going on. Here's a few more for now. The front end is GMR built 1" kingpin beams, radius arms, and single swing rear steer. I don't have many good pictures of the steering, it was ...

Some interior cab pictures. Cage work is 2" dom, both .120 and .095 were used. A few pieces of 1.5" were used in places where it made more sense, like to create more headroom. The cab was cut off in order to tuck the cage above the door jamb. http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa354/squirelmurphy/F...

The F-Bomb
The first vehicle I ever drove was my Dads 68 Camper Special. He had that truck for years, we made almost weekly trips to the desert to go dirt bike riding in it. It had bean hole mags and a 429 cobra jet motor with a big, lumpy cam. It seemed like all his friends had bump or dentside trucks, and be...

Re: Non bronco new guy
I've been pretty busy lately. Work, kids, and some house stuff. We took a family vacation, pretty much no time for the truck. That is changing, though. The kids are back in school, and I'm getting caught up around the house. I have been collecting parts and doing some small stuff. I'll post up in th...

Non bronco new guy
Hey, guys. It's true, I don't actually own a Bronco. I do have a 73 F100 project, does that count? I'll start a thread on it soon, but I'm building it to be a comfortable, capable prerunner ready for adventures south of the border. I go to Mexico for the races and prerunning whenever possible but I'...
