Re: Lets Talk Full Floater
Hub centric? To limit your choice of wheels?
Are you really locked into an old school D44?
Of course for a D44 you probably know the new m220 Spicer D44 is a bigger and stronger diff than previous D44s.
Lug pattern? lots of choices for wheels if you choose a 6 bolt chevy pattern

Re: Stretched GFB by Rugged-Wilson is back!
The drive train in the Bronco was totally stock until I bought the Mogi unit from Kupiec. It supposedly was a fresh one.
Steve I saw your post last April about you breaking it. but I missed a follow-up on the replacement.
Can you tell me what you are now using?

Re: ABS Removal
With the guts of the ABs removed no need to mess with the wiring. If you get a light remove the bulb. For others reading this thread Don't remove the thing just use a switch which will allow ABS for on road use and on for off road use. The light will remind you of the position of the switch and use ...

Rear disk brakes My experience New Wilwood Explorer calipers with the small shoes for parking installed on a 10” 35 spline Ford axle – no C clip Result was poor because the Wilwood retainer was so weak that it allow the bearing to move and the result was a huge loss of diff fluid. Parking brake not ...

Re: TTB limited slips & lockers
Coupe of comments Before deciding to go with OX read a lot of reviews reviews. When you buy an ARB it will come with way more extra plastic air lines than you will need. They are available to buy on eBay as are the push-on fittings and plastic repair kits. Don't like plastic then buy the metal braid...

Re: TTB limited slips & lockers
The TTB uses small u joints and is the weakest part My fix for both the Jeep and the Bronco was to weld the joint caps. Just a couple of MIG tacks on each one. No more failures. My theory is the hub yoke is flexing and putting enough stress on teh caps to allow them to pop out. Jeeps up tp about 201...

Re: TTB limited slips & lockers
With your use it is hard to recommend RCV due to cost and due to the design which is for hard core rock crawling. The bolt-in diff allows for avoiding the spring at the slip splines which in my opinion is a bad concept. Having said that after some trials you can get the spring deal to work. Hard to ...

Re: EFI type
Fact Multi point EFI is better than carb replacment EFI (CEFI). Popularity and cost is not the criteria. It is all about the poor fuel/air distribution for the CEFI sustems. And the intake is really the issue for the CEFI. I suggest you watch Engine Masters re runs on the web to see the differences....

Re: PaulW's 72
What I know For a 72 your options will be very limited due the very tight engine compartment. Go to classic bronco forums and search. I am sure you will find something to meet your needs. The 351 makes it will be rare. That is a lot of stuff for a 72 as compared to a full size Bronco. Electric compr...

Some rambling comments from a Bronco nut. Hells Revenge. Success is all about driver/spotter to do it safely. it has been done in the beginning in military Jeeps. Nothing special. Nowadays with the heavier rigs with lockers and a lower gear are favored. There have been some bad incidents. For sure i...
