Re: GFB HuckFEAST/RC Madness!-Jan 18-20

Sticky whips is a newish company out of slo. They make swiveling suction mounts for whips/flags. They are nice if you have a stock truck you can stick em about anywhere even most body contours. I figure most offroaders will have flag mounts but if people are bringing stockish trucks that don't have ...

Re: GFB HuckFEAST/RC Madness!-Jan 18-20

I will definitely chip in for food and may have another vehicle with two others joining but not a for sure yet on them. We get so much wood at work from trailer deliveries and of course we have pallets for days (I cut them up so no nails at the beach!) Looking like we will be going saturday not Frid...

Re: Another tranny question

Drain the torque converter and when you drop the pan most will come out. It is possible also with a fluid exchanger You can also drain transfer case if you want and use same fluid

Re: GFB HuckFEAST/RC Madness!-Jan 18-20

I could probably talk to some people from polyperformance and a few from rugged radios that I know but if I were to do that there's a good chance some jeeps will show up! If anyone is ok with more people but possibly not broncos I could make it happen but only if everybody is on board after all this...

I'm STOKED to go! I plan for Fri-Sunday camping. I don't as of yet have an offroad vehicle capable of keeping up so I want to ride with someone. Who's got an extra seat?

Re: The 8 Year Project

I know autofab favors the older style of bushings do they work better? My issue on my truck right now is longer radius arms with a lower amount of lift and stock radius arm brackets. Because the arms mount further up the frame normally the bushing is pointed down a little so the bushing is already b...

Re: prerunner bumpers

I like bolt-on bumpers a lot. It's more work and more money to do it right but it can pay off. I've personally seen several fully boxed hardcore bumpers fail at pismo as a result of "lawn darting" and usually it ends up being a mangled main tube, crushed skid and tweaked framehorns that are now all ...

Re: Help with ball joints on a IFS Dana50

I was just looking up the motorcraft part # and noticed philo posted it. Those balljoints are very strong.

How much wider did you go on your race truck? That build looks really cool!

Re: Taurus fans

I have considered mounting a Taurus fan and running it as a pusher but with trans coolers an oil cooler, and steering cooler in front there isn't much room for a simple mount so its fallen by the wayside for a long time

Re: Start Your Go-Fast Build-Rear Suspension

Interesting. I've only used their 1 1/4 and 7/8 heims with no issues from the heims or spacers. I've also used fk many times with no issues either and the only real difference was the injected bearings of the ruff stuff heims though like I said never had a problem and I have always felt they were qu...

Re: bronco grave yard extended ss brake lines

Prob just aftermarket replacement calipers as long as they are long enough I'd just grind the shoulder down and forget about it. Of course blow the line out before you reinstall it.

Re: bronco grave yard extended ss brake lines

I've used.both springs as well as bungy straps to pull brakelines away from.danger. the ultimate fix is to run them along the radius arms or even inside them with short braided flex lines. The jbg lines you have are made by crown performance and are top quality. A lot of companies use a more standar...

Re: Start Your Go-Fast Build-Rear Suspension

Thumbs up for ruff stuff their products and service are bar none. I've seen their housings in action at KOH and they seemed to be just as well built and designed as any of the top tier products out there. Wouldn't hesitate to run any of their parts and I've been using their heims exclusively on pers...
