Re: Cut and turn dana 50 discussion.

I was converting my truck from a straight 6, c6 and 2wd to V8, E4OD and 4wd. I had to replace my beam pivots because they were damaged from lack of maintenance from the previous owner. I was also building the truck as a suppor truck for the class 8 team I was racing with. It made sense to me to use ...

Re: Cut and turn dana 50 discussion.

This one is also untested... I put a D50 TTB Extended 4" on each side under my regular cab short bed F150. I put coil springs on it for now. The truck is far from running right now. It is the time and $ thing... http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk22/dustinliljenquist/IMG_0712.jpg http://i276.photo...

Re: 37x12.5r17 Hankook MTs

I put the dynapro AT's on my wife's trailblazer. They were completely worn down at 30,000 miles. At that price though I would do it anyways.

Re: What kind of oil should i run in a stroker motor?

I have a couple gallons of Rotella oil for Diesel engines in my garage waiting for my next oil change in my daily driver. (94 F150) I have not done my own research, but was told that the diesel oil still has high levels of ZDDP in it. My engine was used when I got it. The short block is all forged a...

Re: What kind of oil should i run in a stroker motor?

Royal purple synthetic.

I have a 418 that is not running yet in my F150. I will most likely run 20w50 year round in that too. 4.1" stroke .030 over. I am in the process of moving to Utah now, so that motor will see much colder weather then AZ.

Re: What kind of oil should i run in a stroker motor?

It has been about 6 years, IIRC the engine builder said that there were obvious signs in the motor of the oil loosing too much viscosity during the race (408w built from a stock block). Again this is a race only motor being run to its limits when running. This was also being run in middle of summer ...

I think the stock hood looks better on these then the drop center one. I love this truck and enjoy watching the progress!

Re: What kind of oil should i run in a stroker motor?

We ran synthetic 50 weight in the class 8. The engine builder and tuner both suggested running it. We had oiling issues whenever we switched to anything lighter. It was a 408 stroker, gone through every other race... I wouldn't go that heavy unless my engine is a race only type though. (Runs in full...

Re: Beams, bumps, crossmembers, NP205 and more...

All PM's have been replied to. Every one that has wanted stuff has been from Cali. I will be driving to Mapleton Utah on Thursday of next week if that makes a difference for anyone?

Thanks,

Dustin

Beams, bumps, crossmembers, NP205 and more...

I am moving and need this stuff gone! All offers welcome. Anything still here in a few weeks is being taken in for scrap metal. Never used Radflo Bump Stops. I purchased these new in 2007. IIRC these have a slightly smaller then 2" OD? They have a 4" stroke. A friend of mine ran some and just trimme...

Re: Stroker motor talk!-Threads merged

I hava 418w installed in my truck. I am in the middle of wiring up a mass air conversion. My question is about what headers to run. I have a set of MAC equal length mustang shorties and a pair of headman long tube headers. Both have 1 1/2" primary tubes. I am leaning towards using the long tubes. Is...

Re: MAF Years on F150's

Is the F150 4R70W any different then an Explorer one? Is it plug and play for a swap? I have heard a few times that the NP205 fits on an Explorer 4R70W. I have never heard anyone say it fits on thetruck version... I just measured my 4x4 C6. It is 25.75" from bell housing to transfercase mounting sur...

Re: MAF Years on F150's

My 94 F150 is mass air. Not all mass air computers have the J3 port though. This port is where you place a chip to run your own custom tune. Certain 95 computers ( like I am currently searching for ) are more popular because of the combo of having the J3 port and to control an E4OD without needing a...

Post up the pic of the engine bay. I am in north phoenix (I17/101). If it is not too far away, I could go take a look for you?

WTB/WTT, Headers, Computer, Distributer, Axle

I am trying to get my project running. I am moving at the end of May and would like to be able to drive it onto the trailer for the move. I am looking for headers (long tube or shorties) with 1 5/8" primaries for a 351w. Preferably with the EGR fitting, but not a deal breaker. I need a WAY1, VEX1 or...

I did the Saginaw power steering pump conversion on both my trucks. I was happy with the results.
