Heater Box/ AC Evaporator Assembly: 1996, 1997

I have the complete Heater Box/ AC Evaporator Assembly from my 1997 Ford F-250. I removed it back in 2011, and it's been in my garage ever since.

Who needs it? Name your price.

Re: High idle/surging when in foreward and reverse gears

The truck idled well until I put the E303 cam in it. I added the Ford IAC adjuster plate (between the IAC and the throttle body) to attempt to tune it in better. Make sure the two bleeds stews in that plate are still present. I also added the adjustable fuel pressure regulator in hopes of improving ...

Re: 12 point header bolt??

When I originally put all that together, the Stage 8 bolt wouldn't fit in that one spot. And none of the Stage 8 hardware fit--besides the bolts. The one 12-point bolt allowed me to tighten it up without flipping the wrench every turn. As an aside, I've always had problems with Ford small block mani...

Cast-iron transmission tailshaft housing E4OD/4R100

This is a heavy-duty Ford tailshaft housing/ transfer case adapter for Ford's E4OD and 4R100 four-speed automatic transmissions. When Ford was developing the E4OD/4R100 for use in the 1999-and-newer Super Duty, one area that it substantially upgraded was the transmission-to-transfer case mount. If y...

Re: Steering boxes and upgrades.

Does anyone have the steering box off their truck that they can measure the mounting pattern from? I have an F-550 box (made by ZF, not Visteon) that might bolt up.

Re: Differentials...

The Truetrac works great in the sand. The only place I've found them to be less than adequate is when you are crawling around, and lift a tire. They work great in the rear axle, and are quite strong. If you buy an F-450 or F-550 with a limited-slip in the rear--it's a Trutrac.

Re: Brian's '96

Are you going to run a hood scoop for that new air intake? What's the air intake temp sensor going to tell you about the air temp now? Speaking of that, where are you going to put the AIT sensor? That's a good question David and definitely a concern that's been running through my head. Right now I ...

Re: How much camber for cut and turned beams?

This truck does seems to have more camber than other cut-and-turned beam trucks. It currently has the Superlift adjustable camber sleeves in the upper ball-joint locations. Various lower coil spring seats and coil spring combinations have been fitted to the truck to try to dial it in. Autofab sugges...

Re: rear axles

The Dana 50 differential is in and done. But I'll likely be back at Pismo this year in a diesel--cause that's what pays the bills. If I still have the Bronco in September i'll bring it up there.

How is your non-diesel project coming?

It's the one I'm trying to get him to do a Duramax swap on. Then it will be off to the NORRA races LOL...... Wouldn't a 4BT Cummins be more suited to that? Boat anchor with terrible powerband when you get the HP up. The D-max with an Allison is a very close fit and the T-case drops on the D-side. I...

Re: rear axles

When I bought my Bronco with 141,000 miles on it, the original owner had already rebuilt the factory 8.8-inch axle twice. And he never had more than 32-inch tall tires on the truck! I was considering putting a 9-inch under it, but for the cost of what I'd want, I couldn't justify the price. So i dec...

I thought this pump was discontinued? Have you bought one recently?

Re: Coil Spring Selection???

I recomend the 3-inch wide Spring for the Bronco, they seem to control the vehicle sway much better than 2 1/2- inch wide springs.
