Re: Superduty Radius Arms

Of course.

I honestly wonder why these aren't a more common modification, if they're as good as they sound.

Re: 300 I6 or 302 V8?

If you have a tranny with a wide gear spread and you work on taking advantage of that fat torque curve, a 300 is a great motor. But a 302 will always be more tossable.

Re: Upgrading brake rotors to a larger size

While I may be a noob I'd go for the biggest affordable OEM MC you can get your hands on, gives you a higher ceiling for how much pressure you can build. F-350, maybe?

Re: Superduty Radius Arms

Looking at picking up a set of these some time, offered him $80 for the pair with brackets. On top of being WAY CHEAPER than any of the aftermarket options, are these probably going to be stronger than the vast majority of my aftermarket pre-fabbed options? They look really beefy, and I think they a...

Re: 300 I6 or 302 V8?

The 300 is a great work horse, almost like a diesel in how it pulls. The 302 is a play engine. I have one in my truck with the 5 speed, and once I'm moving I can have it in most any gear where it's above 1500rpm and it will pull with ease. I can then back down two gears, sort of double clutch it to ...

Re: Tranny fluid leak

The transmission is brand new and the factory style rubber plugs are actually freeze plugs. I guess I have no choice but removing the T-case to get at the leak regardless. At least it's easy! When mine was rebuilt the guy didn't replace my shift forks and I pushed a freeze plug out on the 1-2...

Tranny fluid leak

Long story short, put a new M5OD in my truck a few months ago. Just took it on the interstate for the first time since I bought it and when I got home and parked it noticed that the ENTIRE underside was coated in tranny fluid and a puddle was forming. So a massive leak to say the least. It seems to ...

Exactly, which is why you will never be able to align 4 inches of lift on a TTB setup without either drop brackets or C&T beams.

Re: DD GFB

Aren't the J40s 5" of lift? Can the Solo C&T beams take 5.5 inches of coil lift if I ran the Deaver front coils? Or do I shop elsewhere? I figured 5.5 front and 5 rear would level my truck out a bit.

And which Deavers Coils, since I'd like to just go all from one to help make sure it rides somewhat even...

Re: DD GFB

Any tips on what exact springs to buy, or beams, or specific vendors to check out?

Also, THANKS GUYS! Most places where anyone asks questions like these get "gtfo and search, n00b" answers....

Okay, I've decided that the rock crawler gang's suspension setups are not ideally suited for what I want out of my truck. Broncospeed sounds more in line with what I want to be able to do, but unlike you guys I don't want/need the ability to take whoops at highway speeds. What I do want, though, is ...

Re: 302 vs 351

My 302/5 speed winds out beautifully and pulls strong, the 302 likes revving. Seems like it has a lot more than 185 horsepower under the hood.
