Why buck the trend, the C6 has been working well for in heavy duty prerunners for 40 years. Here is a small problem with any manual that no one mentions: clamp on the brakes while in the air for whatever reason and when you land everything grenades, I have seen it happen more than once.

Unfortunately, the ready availablity of low cost crate motors in recent times has put many regular rebuilders out of business.

The 241 is the best choice but you have to change the output to a solid yoke instead of the slip yoke. Kits are regularly available.

My studs came with double sided taper lug nuts... You sure those are 60*. A lot of the double sided ones are roundy round stuff and 45* taper.
