Re: 1990 go fast bronco “Eddie “
Finally had some time to work on this again. Made motor mounts and got the ecu mounted and started wiring https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240501/2976d903d60d1f8df57e249ed43f28fd.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240501/7cc382206bdbecad072fba1bdc516d70.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...

Re: 1990 go fast bronco “Eddie “
Axle is all welded up! Next it will be getting a back brace some mounts and figure out what I’m doing for hubs. Nice, I have toyed with the idea of doing my own 9" full floater. I hope to get a new fixture table this next year and it would be perfect to keep everything straight while welding things...

Re: 1990 go fast bronco “Eddie “
Made some room for the coyote in the engine bay this evening. Fired up the old plasma cutter and cut out the gear box and old engine mounts to get it ready to sit the coyote and 6r80 in the engine bay! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231202/2a54f64a6b3948b2d242536b23afee67.jpg Sent from my iPhone...

Re: Random updates... what are you working on?

I have a 2006 Honda trx450er with a stage 2 hot cam I ride now and love it and electric start is nice now that I am in my 50's. I have too many toy's, I have the 450, a 400ex, a 1990 Y...

Re: Random updates... what are you working on?
I am remodeling the house and we have everything in the house going in the garage. Now the 72 Bronco is being overtaken. [emoji3064]. With my back problems I worked out a deal with a friend to do the heavy lifting when doing the 72 Body on the 86 chassis. Before I chop the body, I need to take the ...

I started burning the back of it on I do 2 welds per side then let it cool 100%. I do 2 welds a day on it. That way I keep it as...

The answer to the "I'll never use this stuff" question. That's the way to learn. Nice lathe. Yeah he is good at math already just working on his on the fly adding and subtracting. Figure he wants to be a machinist like me when he gets old so start training him now so he is further a head when he st...

Last night https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231024/545d7a05d75cbb0364a03672a7ffec48.jpg I spent some time working on my son’s math. What better way to learn math by machining some parts to finally start building the axle for the bronco! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231024/634d798d77984a759e8...

Re: 1990 go fast bronco “Eddie “
Stock coyote power is easy. The ford control pack makes it simple. That’s what we did on my dad’s 68 bronco. I will be trying to make my own control pack because I enjoy doing that kind of stuff

Re: 1990 go fast bronco “Eddie “
this thing is going to be cool, I'm excited to hear how difficult the swap is The swap its self won’t be bad. Getting it running and turbo’s on will take a little work. But I’m cutting the fire wall and moving it all back some. This will be the 4th coyote swap I have done. Sent from my iPhone using...

I’m not sure yet. I do plan on pushing the engine back in the chassis and cutting the firewall as it will get stretched

Re: 1990 go fast bronco “Eddie “
Ordered some coyote motor mounts and some link mounts for the rear. And a few other parts. Hopefully have a nice pile of parts soon. Hopefully they will all be here so when I get the pins out of my hand. I can work on it. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230826/84975176e3cd004f007caf2f4b2d54f5.jpg...

That’s no fun. Me and my dad built a 66 ford when I was about 16. Mustang 2 kit 500hp bbf with a 200 shot. Was a fun truck for surehobbyturnedobsession wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 11:46 amNice! I have to pull the motor back out. Low pis when warmed up so I’m thinking a rod or main isn’t happy.
