Re: SHOW OFF YOUR GARAGE FAB!
Question for you philo, now that I think about it, I would love for the 9 inch to be an inch wider per side, ifs there and end, like a big bearing end maybe that's big enough for me to do that? Just get the extra width with different ends on it? If you don't have axles yet it should not be a proble...

Re: SHOW OFF YOUR GARAGE FAB!
I have no fab to show, other than that which others do for me (read, I am not a fabricator). Anyways, First off, Yikes did a kick ass, and seriously I mean KICK ASS job trussing up that 9". The problem is I did not straighten it before, and I really believe it was crooked to start with now that I t...

Re: SHOW OFF YOUR GARAGE FAB!
I'm sure this one was off at least that with the way the spring perch was bent. Tony decided to have Currie cut the ends off and replace them. It's a big bill, but a drop in the bucket when you look at the overall investment. What did it cost? Cutting the ends off and replacing them should only be ...

Re: 9" build.
PaulW, There is no reason it can't work. A 4" or 5" disk is sufficient to stop the vehicle and hold it due to gear reduction in the axle. Just have the rotor rather than the output flange machined with "teeth" on the OD and then use a standard Ford VSS. The reluctor ring on our trucks is 108 tooth, ...

Re: 9" build.
first sorry nick iam not trying to hi jack your thread Paul or anyone else do you think if you made your own VSS and mounted it at the T-case you could also use it as a disk for a parking brake (w/ a caliper of coarse) again sorry nick Don't see why not... make sure to use a mechanical caliper rath...

Re: Steve's 84 Bronco
There was a built Explorer at Rage at the River with a full width 9", Dana 44 TTB, and 302. It was in the parking lot of In-N-Out and had Utah plates... thing was amazing. Wish I pictures of it.

Re: Auto Hubs to Manual Hubs
Not failed that I know of but the first time I took the truck in the snow I had a HORRIBLE time. Could have been the Bajas (reason a cactus is on the side and not a snow flake) but I read somewhere about when trying to "rock" a stuck vehicle they unlock while reversing then dont engage right away w...

Re: Stickers and T-Shirts
Kinda pricey if you ask me. I'm getting my shirts made by a professional screen printer guy in TJ and think it's only going to be around $300-350 for 1000 shirts. Those slow artist guys... ..... and I am joking. I love to give Rory a hard time and also beat a dead horse.

Re: Auto Hubs to Manual Hubs
If you have 3 bolt hubs you need an aftermarket kit like the Warn one. If you have 5 bolt hubs any manual dana 44 hubs will work. Easy swap as long as you don't have top hat style hubs. Sorry if I am about to sound stupid. I have the 5 bolt hubs. Can I find manual ones at the junk yard? If so, what...
