Built some longer shackles today. Started on a removable cross member/skid plate at the radius arm mounts. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d72/shellshell00006/photo1.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d72/shellshell00006/photo5.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d72/shellshell00006/photo3.jpg

Re: Front tube bumper
I used 2" for the main tube and 1.5" for the light hoop and support bars. 1.5" for everything will look too small. Mine is all .120 DOM.

I have less than $1300 into my suspension. About $900, and it works great. http://www.gofastbroncos.com/forum/view ... =33&t=1421

Re: want to build a fsb for sand, need input
BFG All-Terrains are the best sand tires I've owned. 35's only aired down to 14-16 pounds flex out nice and I can go anywhere in the dunes in 2wd. I've driven many many many different rigs and tire combinations in the sand, mostly mud terrains. All terrains work much better. My Bronco is a very simp...

Re: Front alignment specifications
I aligned to factory specs, added caster to get to just under 6 degrees. Stock was about 3 degrees caster on my Bronco.

It's fine. Didn't want to bug you more. What about a USPS medium flat rate box. $10.95. They will easily fit in that.

Re: some what go-fast bronco 2 thoughts
I LOVED my Bronco II. Had a 302/AOD, stx brackets, rancho shocks and 31's. I had a lot of fun in it, wish I never sold it. Was a blast in the dunes and easy to get around anywhere. With the V8 and me in it it weighed 3200 lbs if I remember correctly. A 2 door Explorer will weigh more, but you alread...

Re: Scott's 96' Interceptor
I'm officially in LOVE with my budget GoFast Bronco!! Finally got it out in the sand today. Been so busy and fixing minor issues that I haven't had a chance to get it out and play. No pics or vid. But it's by far the best handling and riding truck I've driven out there. Far cry from all the straight...
