Re: 96 Chapter Two
The Raptor did not feel as fun as I had hoped. I knew after 6 months when it only had 2,000 miles on it and I was driving the XJ daily that I was not feeling it....Expensive lesson learned.

96 Chapter Two
Sold the Raptor last year and found another 96. This one is an ex-police vehicle with XLT trim, 5.8 and manual 4wd. I really like OBD2 and Mass air so I was really happy to find this listed on Oahu at a fair price! HID's and a punisher were the first orders made and I threw a 10 series flowmaster on...

Re: Government issue bronco?
I just bought one of these to build last week. This one is a 1996 XLT with a 351, manual 4wd but has power windows/locks/cruise/tilt etc...Looks like this one in the pic.

One electrical fire later.....This one was done! Moving to something in line with a chase vehicle. Looking in Hawaii so I will get very little truck for my $$'s gonna see what 4-5K will get me here. Hopefully an A-Arm F150 or Z71. Chasing is cheap and more of what I am wanting to do!

Yeah, forgot to list the axle. It will be a 31 spline ranger 8.8"(stock width) with 4.56 and a limited slip unit of some type(thinking factory Trac-Loc)

Re: ipad gps?
Motion X is what I am using. Seems to be very reliable in Hawaii and I am assuming will be just as good in the desert. The internal antenna can, at times, struggle to keep lock but 99% it is fine. Look at the remote GPS antenna's on Amazon and consider that it will auto swap to internal if you unplu...

Blew up the 3.3 in the Slayer....Electric seems to be best. Nitro is fun but the constant $$ to keep it running is becoming a severe hit to the wallet. Nitro is $50.00 a gallon now.

SuperSixAxis 3rd attempt at a low buck project!
Picked up a 1990 Ranger. 4cyl, 5Speed. No A/C, heater, radio. The purpose of this truck is to build a LOW BUCK, bombproof desert truck I can learn to do fab work with. Now that I moved to a proper house in Hawaii and have a 2 car garage I am amassing a tool collection and getting back after it. I am...

Re: SuperSixAxis 2012 Ford Raptor
No, just been working like crazy. At 2600 miles it has really started to break in. Lots of low end and feels much punchier now. 13MPG everywhere. Looking like I will do the rear brace/air bumps next summer and I am still looking for a radio solution that will be a pin in unit under the rear seat(pre...
