I saw that but i had actually planned on keeping the outer setup i have on it on the d44, just taking the massive lift off, and settling on a long travel 4 inch

Re: 1994 F150 overhaul

So i have decided to take the massive lift off, and actually look at putting some long travel on this thing, still keeping it 8 lug, and probably on 35s, will also be getting a (gasp) ls swap in the near future

1994 F150 overhaul

Hello all, I had posted in intro about my 1994 f150. I figured i should start a build. It used to be more of a mud toy. It sat for a few years, was sold, bought back, and is getting an overhaul. Is going on the lift tomorrow to get new font end bushings, and outers swapped to 8 lug. In all of its ol...

Re: New here with a 94 f150

Ok so things are starting to move forwards with this truck. Ive got new front end bushings to install, picked up a chevy d44 3/4 ton to do an 8 lug conversion on the front. Still deciding on lift height and such though, so it will probably he going back on its 8 inch lift coils until i can afford a ...

Re: Over the knuckle steering question

I am proabably not going to include a swing steering setup, at least in this stage of the build. Maybe if i eventually get a full prerunner setup it will happen.

Re: Over the knuckle steering question

Right on, I'm not totally sure what my end goal with the truck is yet, as I am on the east coast there's not a lot of go fast places to use it. So i figured an otk steering would be a good way to get rhe steering up and out of the way some, and less likely to have to use as big of a drop pitman arm ...

Over the knuckle steering question

This may have been covered somewhere, but i couldn't find it. Has it ever been discussed to run an over the knuckle type steering? Ream a taper into the knuckle, weld in a taper sleeve, and flip the tie rod to the top of the knuckle? Would this be beneficial in go fast applications? I've seen it don...

Re: New here with a 94 f150

Fantastic! Thank you! As you can see she definitely needs a lot of love, but it has loved a life of a daily driver, to a mud truck on 40" tires, to being sold off and bought back and just generally was meglected for a while. However I am at a point in life where I can start to afford to fix it, albe...
