Re: coil buckets

I was lookin at those coil buckets from fab tec. They look like the stock ones only one shock side is cut off for the hoop and it has a bend for the attachment to the bottom of the frame. It'd be a good idea to possibly copy. As for mcneil, I've heard they arent really good for anything. A guy i was...

coil buckets

I see that you guys have the nice coil buckets with the shock tower on them. Can someone guide me to find them? The only place I know that would build them is Autofab and they wanted 900 for them... Thats some serious cash.

Re: 4-link

it reminds me of a peterbilt rearend set up only longer. big rigs used half springs instead of the trailing arms but they still have the pan hard that mounts from the rear end to the frame. The only thing is, I would think that rearend would be all over the place with that many heims.

Re: Spring perch angle

I've got a question, I took my truck to the shop last week because I snapped the driveline (long story) and figured since it was there they could fix the pinion angle by rotating and replacing the perches. They wouldnt do it because of liability issues. Something about messing up a seal. Have any of...

Shock hoops

I kind of feel dumb for askin but I've never built shock hoops and was wondering how you all had figured out the shock geometry behind it? I've decided to go all out instead of running replacement stock shocks. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to make my shock hoops? i have the tools to do it...

Re: front shock set up

since talking with you all ive got one more question before i dive into shocks. kartek is havin a sale on their 2.25 x 14" shocks for 191.99 a piece. also the 12" would this be good enough? two 14"s with a hoop and 2 12" in the rear with a shock support up near the floor?

Re: Rear Leaf Springs

Just run a flat plate for the bottom bolt holes and a piece of tubing across to keep them from not moving in and out right?
