Re: Pressure Washer Recommendations

I'm not endorsing gas or electric, but a public service announcement for gas engines and non use. If there is an in line fuel shut off valve, turn it off and just run the engine(with water running through pump) until the engine stops on it's own. You just want to prevent gas from sitting in the carb...

Re: Pressure Washer Recommendations

To be honest, pick one with a Honda engine under your budget with the most number of reviews, along with the highest reviews, like 4.5+. That's what I would recommend. Since I don't know enough about pumps(quality and durability), I wouldn't want to recommend any one. Another thing I just thought of...

Re: Pressure Washer Recommendations

"Change oil? On small engines? That's a thing?" LOL! "Here's one I was looking at. https://www.webstaurantstore.com/simpso ... 60652.html" Seems kinda high, but not sure. Even with the GC engines, I've seen pump failures more than engine failures. Maybe the engine runs with no water running through ...

Re: Pressure Washer Recommendations

Regarding Honda engines, try to get the GX series as opposed to the GC series. GX is OHV, cast iron sleeve, ball bearing on crank ends. GC is OHC, timing belt, no cast iron sleeve, basically a residential engine, whereas GX is commercial grade Haha. I was afraid the GX would drive the price up... a...

Nice find! Congrats on the purchase. But I'm more happy for you and your son to hear about his high school and that they're actually teaching a real life long lesson.

Re: Was it something I said?

I found this place because of my brother in law. Ford guy and has a Bronco(96). I've always been a lurker on most forums but I read and actually use the search functions so when I start a new post, it's because I couldn't find it. This forum is awesome and I've learned a ton. Thank you from me and p...

Re: Engine cross member rivets

Thanks for your reply arse_sidewards. Appreciate it. Regarding hollow, I had meant to say hollow sounding when hitting with a small head hammer. None of the rivets that sound hollow when hit are not showing any kind of evidence that they are loose. I have not seen a TSB regarding spot welding around...

Engine cross member rivets

So I really enjoy driving my 95 F150 but that horrendous metal grinding sound when it's warm after twenty minutes is getting louder than maxing out my cassette player in the dash. I'm aware of a service bulletin that Ford has had regarding replacing the rivets with bolts. I've found a few rivets tha...

Re: Doing it all over again...

I've been working on a filter mount for my crew cab off and on for like 2 weeks now. That's what happens when you want some fancy, bitchin looking part for something as stupid as a support mount that takes about 5 hours overall to design & fab and you get maybe 20 minutes a day to work on it... LOL...
