Re: Granny gear 5.0 Bronco build
Naw MPH are larger, but the dash was all taken apart when I got ahold of it so maybe it was swapped. Just kinda odd that it has a Canadian Ford Dealership sticker on the window, and an old original one too. Yeah I'm torn between the rural mountains of Colorado since my dads from there, and rural sun...

Re: Leaving quad shock setup vs. removing
Yeah I'm leaning towards the ES3000s because I've heard hydraulics are better for low speed trail rigs than gas-charged shocks. I've got old Monroes on it right now, the rears are stiff (which is why I think they're not blown yet, only the front bounces around) but I don't mind too much, my girlfrie...

Has play on both ends of the rear shaft, but more towards the rear, you can grab it and shake it a around a bit, and when I'm driving on the highway sometimes when I'm on the gas it'll vibrate from the rear shaft area and it constantly squeaks and squeals.

Re: Granny gear 5.0 Bronco build
Thanks man. Yeah I'm not too familiar with Washington, but my girl wants to move there after we both graduate college as she has family there. The guys at Four Wheel Parts in El Cajon were so surprised it was an original stick V8, they think it's some kind of Canada-only option or something haha

Looking for good affordable 4x4 shop in SoCal
I'm in San Diego, and after having the underside of my Bronc inspected at 4 Wheel Parts, an issue that I thought was worn out u-joints actually might be the pinion gear in my 8.8 and a loose yoke on the rear of my transfer case, so I'm looking for someone or someplace to split them open and rebuild ...

Granny gear 5.0 Bronco build
So figured I'd make a build thread for my slow moving build, she's a 1989 Bronco Custom with a 302 and a four speed granny gear. Bought from a towing yard in Chula Vista, had Washington plates when I got it and has a Canadian Ford dealership sticker on the drivers window, but surprisingly little rus...

Re:
I had ProComp on my F350 right after I lifted it and the did ok for about a year. I then put Bilstein shocks and it was a big difference in the feel and control of the truck. Now I have 70k miles on them and they are still doing a great job What series Pro Comp's? And did they blow out prematurely?...

Leaving quad shock setup vs. removing
So according to 4WP, my shocks are blown, the rears feel fine to me so debating whether to replace them or not, but I'm going to replace the front in the near future with a leveling coil in place of the saggy stock coil. I've been looking at Jeff's Bronco Graveyard shocks, and Pro Comp ES3000 and ES...

I know this is an old forum, sorry to resurrect it, but AZJD I'm wondering what you ended up going with for the leveling kit as I'm in the same boat right now

Re: Good leveling kit as base for future mods
Yeah I got a set of worn 33" Toyo Open Country's sittin in my barn, but I'm not throwin em on yet cuz my 31s have 90% tread still and I'm not ready to regear my 8.8 to handle the 33s right now. Also I kinda want a leveling kit to actually level out my Bronco and get rid of the factory rake. And I've...

Re: Oem style fiberglass hood vs stock steel hood
I appreciate the input! Have you guys ever had issues with the urethane fading or cracking due to uv exposure? My Bronco sits outside 99.9% of the time, that .1% of the time when it's covered, it's just in my barn sometimes when I work on it.

Good leveling kit as base for future mods
So I've been trying to decide between the Jeff's Bronco Graveyard or the Rough Country leveling coils, the obvious differences are price; $190 and $130 respectively, and the JBG kit comes with a pair of adjustable alignment bushings, both kits also lift the front end 1.5-2". Anyone use either kit? M...

Re: White 1994 F-150 Sleeper Build
Turned out great!! I'm liking your bed storage setup, been thinkin bout doin somethin like that in the back of my Bronco to keep my 5-gallon water jug, ammo can, and tool box secure on trails. Is that a custom mount?
