No edit sucks. Chasetruck can’t you swap in a V8 into a first Gen Explorer since the second Gen Explorers had the v-8 option?
buddy had one of those in his exploder and it was not impressive and had almost no aftermarket support

Re: How often do you change bushings and Heims?

I’ve had my Solo Stage 4 kit for about 3 years (maybe 30k miles with about 20 off road trips) and am wondering what’s the general life or maintenance interval of pivot bushings, leaf pack and hanger bushings, and radius arm heims? How about coilovers? Im noticing I’m starting to sage passenger side...

Re: Rear seat replacement

prp used to make a round headrest rock crawlers would use with a low back seat. maybe make a frame off the mounting points in the back and use those?

you are going to have an issue with room for the larger seats. my son is 5 and his car seat for ever thing about torches the roof.

Re: HD Jack stands needed

One of the best investments a long travel owner can buy is a set of pipe stands or buying the stuff to make your own - whatever you choose the $160 investment is a must and a great one. being a toyota rockcrawler guy going to a FSB was quite the rude awakening that a lot of my vehicle support stuff...

Re: ford CARB legal crate motor

Thank you! I thought the EROD was good, but hadn't found confirming info yet. I really want a cheap swap, meaning a junkyard LS series I swap in, but it seems like that's a no go from what I've been reading due to it not coming in a light enough vehicle that is comparable to the 1st gen exploder. F...

Re: 1995 F-150 Build

My thoughts are the UTV's are fun and capable, but you've got to trailer them and honestly they don't seem like they can be much less expensive than a regular toy. i dont want to be associated with the 99% of the owners who are complete idiots in those things. they are popular because you can finan...

Re: ford CARB legal crate motor

Or you need to figure out how to register a modified Bronco/pickup that does no have a CARB legal motor. Sure enough it is being done. there are plenty of ways around the emission side of things, but they take time and not every paper pusher is aware of the rules, which means arguing and taking up ...

Re: "Blanc-Oh!", my distraction

you could always chop the 44 beams at the knuckle and weld the d50 stuff on if you want the bigger stuff. a simple way to accomplish what you want would be to drill the d44 for 8 lug. just weld one of the hold shut before machining and youd be good to go. https://www.gofastbroncos.com/forum/viewtopi...

Re: "Blanc-Oh!", my distraction

Because I've seen what happens when a drive slug fails, and I have seen those fail literally just driving down the street. I've never seen a bolt-on drive axle fail in moderate use, i.e. more or less the use they were designed for. I'm not crawling or racing this thing with 40's on it. ok this has ...
