Re: head light issues on 92' front end conversion

I'm bittig the bullet and converting to HID. Buying a set from tony. It does seem like an easier answer to my problem. And like you said, it'll be way brighter.
Thanks guys for the help and advise.

Re: head light issues on 92' front end conversion

Andy is spot on.....you 91 is pinned out for a 9004 and you are now running 9007. If you have a HID harness, you need to change the sequence of the onus to correct. easy fix, and very common on swaps. solid! thanks for the info. I don't have the HID but it looks like i'll have to get one sooner jus...

head light issues on 92' front end conversion

Re: two years and counting

Just pull the center leg bolt I mean? Is that the plan? yeah it drops right on down and pivots off the outer two legs. i had to put a knuckle in the middle of the center leg to help clear the tailgate. just pull the bolts and she's easy to drop. however, it's heavy to lift. i don't have any photos ...

Re: two years and counting

went to superstition mt this past weekend for some fun. put the go pro on the skid plate and took some footage of the front suspension. I came to two conclusions after watching the video; 1) 15 psi in the rear tires is too low. (was running 20 psi fwd which felt and looked fine in the video) 2) i'll...

Re: e4od torque converter not locking up

wow, finally got it figured out. I'm sorry for taking so long to tackle this project but work literally pulls me away from my truck for months at a time. But i'm back and working on it again. PaulW your write up on how to lock out the torque converter was awesome. I installed the green and red LED i...

Re: e4od torque converter not locking up

No lock up at all. But i get good solid shifts up and down. So I don't think its the clutches.
I'll check the speed sensor and gears.
But would the odd noise in park and neutral still be around if the ss was busted?

e4od torque converter not locking up

went out to borrego over the weekend and wheeled pinyon mt and ocotillo wells. fun trip but now my torque converter isn't locking up. Abnormal slipage in 3 & 4 but nothing that seems like excessive or abnormal slip in 1 or 2. I've got a noise coming from the bell housing as well. It sounds like a ba...

AC Compresor/Onboard Air conversion

Been looking for cheap onboard air ideas and I came across this one on FSB. http://www.wt4x4.net/tech/onboardair.htm I really like this idea of using the ac compressor to provide onboard air. This guy is a little rough in his fabrication but I think i'd be able to clean it up some. ie: Use a proper ...

Re: Wheel width vs. tire width

i'm running 35" x 12.5" KM2 class C on my 7.5" stock alcoas. max psi is 35 cold. great wear on all 4 tires, no issues with the bead ever coming off. i typically run them at 10 psi on the trails and rocks, 12-15 in the sand, 35 on the road. but for road manners they do feel like marshmellows. i don't...

Re: two years and counting

been a few months since i've posted the progress on the truck... first off i found out that the idle issue was due to the throttle position valve. and the sticky throttle was due to tight clearences on the thottle body discs. so i just pulled a complete throttle body off my donor engine and the prob...

Re: Suspension Seats

i've been running corbeau's baja rx's for the past 3 years on my DD. i'm pretty stoked with them but the bolsters are a real pain for getting in and out of the truck. but they do hold ya tight. i'm running my reg 3 pt harness lap and shoulder belt and have found it sufficient as i've already rolled ...

Re: does any one have fiberwerx products on there bronco?

i've got fiberwerx fenders and a mcniel/perry hood. i won't be buying from fiberwerx anytime soon. bubbles in the gel coat and a really f'd up mold. look at the circled part of the passenger fender in the picture and u'll see that a good chunk of the forward portion is missing. took me a while to ge...

thanks Steve. yeah, i thought about it when i first starting pulling the intake apart, but the tips looked really clean and the little micro filter at the other end looked just as good. i didn't see any deposits at all. could there be built up gunk inside? would an injector cleaner gas additive help...
