Since you're doing this off of a jig why not place the beam so it dont have to cut the ear off at all? That's how my beams are it just takes more time to measure it up to be sure the axle goes right where it needs to in the hub

Good call on the gaskets I had cork valve cover gaskets before and they fell apart and blocked the oil pick up screen

Check the classifieds as well you can find 4" springs and shocks all the time for cheap and cut and turned beams themselves are not much either I think it was 250 was paid on my last bronco

I've always been the lurker type but like everyone else says make images easier and also maybe get more get togethers going I think that would help too I know a lot of us live in different places making it somewhat difficult for everyone to get out. Friends have a place at no mirage right by the sand bar so I'll be around there and probably a run to sand dam I'll keep an eye out for you. We usually take the kids down to the red feather for ice-cream and stop at the sand bar. Look for us in the blue bronco. Will do man I'll be in my white bronc...
