Bolt on housing

I’ve found a few bolt on front housings but, can’t find the inner stub axle. Does anyone have some or know where to find them. Also, has anyone tried to adapt a C clip stub axle into a bolt on housing?

Re: front true trac issue

Well finally broke down and called Autofab. Told him what was going on and he informed me that my $300 beams I was so proud of can go in the scrap pile. So, hopefully after some more overtime I can order a real set of beams and get back on the road. Another vote for not skimping on beams, do it righ...

Re: front true trac issue

would gladly have went with a bolt-on housing if I could have found one. Our salvage yards here are more concerned with selling to the scrap yards and not with selling parts. As for DIYing it, in this area its my only option. The few shops here only build mud rigs and side-by-sides. But, when your i...

Re: front true trac issue

started putting it back together the other day, I'm starting to think ya'll are right about my beams being the problem. Its together but everything is still bound up. not sure if its the c/t or the need to clock the diff or both. I emailed southwest and still waiting on their reply. Does anyone else...

Re: front true trac issue

sorry I still don't have it back together, been working all the time. The problem I'm having is on the driver's side so the C clip or lack there of is not the issue. I had to replace the ball joints again and have the knuckle hanging on the beam is as far as I have gotten. If I ever get a day off I'...

Re: front true trac issue

thats the new style like the one I have. You have to put a spring in the passenger side slip yoke. Still haven't got mine together but, I'm off tommorrow so hopefully it will be back on four wheels soon.

Re: front true trac issue

I know sorry for no pics, me and computers just barely get along. I haven't been able to work on it in over a week I'm going to try and tear it back down in the morning, maybe I just wasn't holding my mouth right.

Re: front true trac issue

what doesn't make sence is moving the spindle farther away and the axle acting too long, which is why I'm thinking its an issue with the truetrac. Are any the truetrac you used the new type with no c-clip access? I've seen mag articles that showed early versions still using c-clips.

Re: front true trac issue

ok thanks everybody, I've already left a message with southwest and I'll talk to Autofab too. I'm going to try it again when I get off of nights. Might just cut the axle and not use 4wd till I can get a fix for it.

Re: front true trac issue

I got them from Taylor (805hooigan) he said Red Beard Fab did them and you can see pics of them on his website. Is there any fixing these or are they trash? Is Southwest back up and going yet? I saw the website is finally working. Any idea how much a set of beams are from him?

front true trac issue

hello everyone, I have a problem with my attempt at a go-fast front end. I installed cut and turned beams, extended radius arms, gears and a truetrac. When trying to put the driver's side front axle in everything is boundup like the axle is too long. I got it together but now can't get any adjustmen...
