Re: Extended beams 4.5" over
It's posts like these that make me regret making other purchases... Dang. All that's needed would be c/o and shock hoops

Re: Does anybody run air shocks?
You would, with out a doubt, have to build a shock hoop, in the very least.Tchajagos wrote:You would have to cycle your suspension to know. You might have to build a new coil bucket to mount those on.

Re: Does anybody run air shocks?
I've heard bout alot of people running 12" stroke shocks with high success. I did hear that a 2" shock bod is still just 2". And therefore, wont see much improvement. I'll be running 14" 2.5 King smoothies next with some interesting bastardization. I'll post about that progress and then, shortly the...

Re: Bilstein 5100.
Ummm, isnt this the real issue??? I.. uhhh.... NO!! Anyway, new shocks, towers and coils are in the works plus steering upgrades. The rear is awesome. I knew they'd fade, but not that fast! Other than that, they've been fantastic. I would certainly recommend them to anyone NOT speeding like a...

Add goofy steering geometry and a driver who regularly pushes his rig past its capabilities and you get a scary ride.
Now you know.

Re: Dana 44- Open, LS - Thoughts on your setup??
I'm going crazy here, but I ended up with a spool in the front. It works great, but you certainly don't want to drive on the road while your hubs are locked in.
Also, I haven't run on go fast stuff yet.

Re: Does anybody run air shocks?
The cut/turn will be a little different than drop brackets, geometry wise. What length coils do you currently have? Those bronco graveyard springs are a nice coil that work well with a 4" cut/turn once they settle. If you are looking for more than 12" travel then you will need to change out more st...

Re: Does anybody run air shocks?
I was contemplating a 6" or so lift spring in a taller bucket. I have some nice 14.3" stroke 5100s in the back of my Bronco that cycles 17" with my home-brewed set up. I wonder if I could do something similar with the front. I could use this, but I think that the shock needs to mount more... diagona...

Re: Does anybody run air shocks?
That answers alot. I see these things on rock crawlers and go slow rigs alot. I can see the aerated oil becoming a big problem offroad! Dampening and rebound control is sorta important. To hear that air shocks are emulsion type is disappointing. I originally thought that they were coilovers with gas...

Does anybody run air shocks?
So my Bronco was a party today, & I was taking that time to cycle the suspension to full compression and full droop and see how things jived. Long story short, I found out why coil springs aren't used in longer travel applications. So I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze more wheel travel out of ...

Pinion angle is being a jerk
So, now! I just got my Deaver Q80s mounted, along with my shackle drop brackets and extended shackles AND I even built my own under bed shock towers to fit my 14.3“ stroke Bilstein 5100s... I'll tell ya more about those once I use them. ANYWAY! I got my stock axle stuffed back in there took some mea...

Re: Rear Lift suggestions
Solo motorsports makes a drop bracket for your rear hanger, I think it's good for an inch. You may be able to do something similar with the front and use a wedge to get the last half inch and correct pinion angle.
