Re: D 50 misc

D50 r&p is 44% stronger than the D44. Read about the Jana 54. Adapts a D 50 r&p into a D44 to gain the strength. This way retains the D50 r&p.

Re: D 50 misc

Another tidbit for D50 lovers. If you want to run a Trutrac or other diff not available for D50's, it's easy peasy. DTS in Michigan has adapter sleeves that press on a D44 carrier and adapt it to D50 carrier bearings. The ring gear one has a shoulder to move the carrier over for correct alignment. Y...

Re: Wide rearend on a budget

Depends on how wide you want. 9.75 is a great option. Dutchman can make new shafts with 5 x 5.5 lug pattern if you want the width of the F150 or raptor.

Re: D 50 misc

Because the 95-97 used a bolt on caliper you could use a variety of rotors and bolt on calipers with an adapter plate.

Re: D 50 misc

I am using custom Coleman billet hats and 14" rotors with CNC 6 piston calipers. Use the 95-97 outer knuckle and it's a simple bolt up with an adapter.

RCV part number for the D50 TTB outer stub is D11627. Talk to Sean Rehberg if you want to go this way.

Note that these are 93 and down. The 94+ uses a different rotor mount pattern.

Re: D 50 misc

SS7006-5
list is about $200. But if you squeeze a little you can get them cheaper because they are basically dead stock.

D 50 misc

I'm building a D 50 to go under a 84 F 150 so I thought I would pass along some information some might find useful. I've been working with RCV and they will now offer their CM CV axles for D 50 TTBs. I provided them with a new Spicer D 50 outer stub and they have done the engineering to match it to ...

Re: D 50 slip joint angularity

Yes, a stock inner out of the diff, then an inner and outer to make this. I'm down the road a bit before I can test it.

D 50 slip joint angularity

Wondering if anyone has tried this to resolve the angularity issue with the D50 diff stub and slip joint?

Its a inner yoke (40 degreee angulartiy) and the slip portion of an outer yoke (20 degree angularity), machined and welded together.

Thoughts?

Re: TTB vs. THE WORLD (AKA differences between Ford TTB axles)

Still on the bench in the shop. It will work but I've had other priorities. I do hope to get back to this soon. Jack at CTM can make the slip yoke. He's done several for equal length TTB's.
