Thanks. I'm pretty excited about it! Finally get to start working on the Bronco this weekend. Hopefully I'll have it running by next weekend. I'm really sick of driving borrowed vehicles!!!

So the Gorilla has been down for several months now. Blew a head gasket. Now this is happening.

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla

Yeah for sure. It's nice to be able to just get in it and have it start! And now that the seat isn't all wobbly it is much nicer to drive! Also was having issues with the cruise control turning off and the torque converter unlocking every time I hit the left turn signal. figured out that was because...

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla

So spent Sunday working on the GFG. Been having issues with it starting and my seat bracket keeps breaking. Figured out the battery had a hole in it, the terminals were both broken, and the starter solenoid on my Power Master starter needed to be rebuilt. Got another battery, installed new terminals...

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla

So I got to spend New Years Eve working on the Bronco. Blew a heater core on the way to work and had to get it swapped out. At least Ford made it easy to get to. Only took an hour. Everything else I've done a heater core in took all day!

Re: E4OD Solution!

After dealing with the trans not shifting right for over a year, I have found the solution. I am almost embarrassed to admit the problem. Turns out it was my led tail light bulbs causing the torque converter to not lock up. Put in standard 3157 bulbs in last night, shift like a champ now!

Re: E4OD issues

I've had it a couple years now. It's been shifting like this for about a year and a half. Drive it everyday. I have a parts bronco with a c6 I had intended to swap in, but the more I think about it, the more overdrive sounds appealing. I haven't tried pulling the codes. I should do that.

Re: E4OD issues

The OD light is not flashing. I don't know about the mlps sensor. I have not done anything to it. I have had a diesel with the e4od but that never did anything quite like I'm describing with the rpms. Also if I accelerate hard right from the start, keep my foot hard in it through all shifts, it will...

E4OD issues

So I am hoping someone here has maybe run into this issue before and may have an idea what the solution is. My 1990 has the E4OD and the 351. When I accelerate the 1st to 2nd shift is normal. 2nd to 3rd and third to OD shifts rev high before engaging the next gear and the rpms are higher than they s...

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla

So I picked up number 3 Sunday. A 1989 Eddie Bauer. Lots or good parts to harvest off it. Came with a Rancho 4 inch lift with extended radius arms, a premo hood (mines in bad shape), but most important is the c6 trans.
