Re: Balducci Bros stock class EB build
Todd, I have read up on your NORRA bronco a bit but don't remember, are you running a Howe box?

Re: Balducci Bros stock class EB build
Sorry for the lull in updates, I've been gathering parts and thats just not that exciting. I got the frame all cleaned up and the tub set on it. Got my rear truss about 1/2 way done, front axle is 1/2 way cleaned up, etc. I'll get some pics soon. So I've been trying to decide which steering box to r...

Same one I use in the shop, works nice!yikes wrote:I run one of these with CO2 in the Bronco. Great gun! Not the best, but quiet for a pneumatic and plenty of power.balduccibros wrote:None of these can compete with a good air impact and co2 tank though.

Re: Cordless Impacts
I use snap on for anything 1/2" drive. Even in the shop I rarely use the air impact. For 3/8" drive the m12 Milwaukee impacts are the best bang for your buck. Really speeds up small stuff and the big batteries they sell for them last forever. If your tire changing duties are during a race I wouldn't...

Re: Balducci Bros stock class EB build
thanks, I meant the center pin to center pin width for setting up new spring perches...but on second thought, I'll probably hold off in case I end up moving the hangers for some reason, and to dial in the pinion angle better.FUFIMI wrote:rear leaf spring width is 2 1/4 inch

Re: Balducci Bros stock class EB build
Well I still don't have the bronco, or any real progress to show, but I have collected a few parts and gotten a few things to get my garage up and running. So here are some pictures! Tires I'll be using for mockup, these are 37-12.50. I'm going to build around these even though I'll most likely only...

Re: Sparco Questions
I haven't used those particular models, but the sparcos are typically really comfy as long as they fit you right. We have extra thick cushions made by someone else that replace the thin stock cushions as well which are great. For random people I think a regular suspension seat might be better.

Where is that at? I travel a lot:). Although I'm tapped out at the moment, I got a little carried away at surplus city.

Re: Balducci Bros stock class EB build
Well it took me a little while to get the internet hooked up at the new place, between moving and some major events coming up at work I've been pretty busy. I've still been thinking of designs things I can do on the bronco and sourcing parts. I picked up a 9" housing last week, I'll get that cleaned...

Re: Robby Gordon SST
That's definitely bad when the kids don't like it. I don't know what the missing element is that made MTEG racing so exciting. Those tracks were pretty tame compared to these and most passing really happened when someone broke or rolled, somehow it was always exciting though

Re: Balducci Bros stock class EB build
Yeah stock class dictates stock frame, stock style suspension, stock engine block and trans, mostly full body, etc...and I can't afford to go to a more open class. I'm so used to spending other people's money and telling them what parts to buy, it's way more frustrating when it comes out of my pocke...

Re: Balducci Bros stock class EB build
I miiiiight end up building custom headers. I can probably scrounge up some builder kits pretty cheap, header flanges can be cut to match whatever heads I run on the plasma table, so that could make the gt40p heads an option. Who makes a good longtube header for the regular gt40 heads? I'll talk to ...

Re: Balducci Bros stock class EB build
Wow, lots of good info, thanks guys. I'm not worried about a spool on the front. If you phase your ujoints(just like a driveshaft) they steer fine. I've been up to 116 mph in the dezert and almost a hundred on the street with spooled fronts and everything inbetween. Steering box and full hydraulic s...

Re: Balducci Bros stock class EB build
Sounds like you have thought through things pretty well. Having parts to pick from always steers my choice as well. Not sure what the speeds are on the courses you are looking, and I missed it if you said what size tires you are going to use. If you are going to run faster than 45 mph, you will nee...

Balducci Bros stock class EB build
This thread is going to start off really boring, don't expect pics for at least a few weeks. I need to start a thread though because I'm new to the Bronco world and I'm gonna try to make as few mistakes as possible with this thing...which means I'll need some input. I've been into rockcrawling and U...

Re: Robby Gordon SST
Curious where you heard about them cancelling? I doubt if it was because of not making money...I don't think Robby would expect to be making money in the first year...if he really really needed to do that I think he would be playing ball with a lot more sponsors(other energy drinks and tire sponsors...
