Re: Trailing arms
Does the mounting point in the axle have to be at the bottom of the axle or can it come off the front? Don't see why it can't be at the front of the tube and not the bottom.

Re: Trailing arms
Bars are zero at ride height was worried about droop and the bar hitting something and twisting and breaking shocks, as far as bolts I've seen some 3/4 break during a hard impact was just wanting some more insurance.

Re: Shock set up for jumping
That would explain why the trucks doing big air are using the nitrogen shocks and no coilovers then.

Shock set up for jumping
Sold my prerunner build to my son, building a tube chassis ranger mega truck now, had some good info passed on from here so figured I'd start here, I'm using some 14 inch 2.5 fox coilovers and a hydro bump, where would be a good place to start for valving in the shocks? Be hitting jumps, lots of 4-8...

Ok, springs swapped over 200/250, sent me the wrong valve kits but opened them up to see exact valving, was set to extra firm compression (Foa) and light med rebound, I opened up 5 of the compression holes on the pistons to 3/16, 10 holes, valved the compression to light and left the rebound alone(la...

Re: Shock pressures
Would you still recommend revavling the shock or try the springs first and then revalve?mobil1syn wrote:that spring split is a little large. Generally I try to keep them within 100lbs on a solid axle.
dump the bump pressure to 50psi, destroke them, go with extra light on rebound and light/med on compression.
