Re: 1977 Supercab - Brown Betty
So I had a slight mishap last month. My wife and I were headed out to do some spectating for the v2r and got about halfway there and heard an odd sound/clunk. I shook the wheel and everything seemed good. Motor was running good, guages looked good, so I decided to pull over and do a quick check. Pop...

Thanks, I'm torn between going full kill with Mqueen glass or keeping the Old skool look. We shall see soon. Definitely needs some good rear shocksnubreed71 wrote:Great shot. Your truck is looking killer!

Been using the truck more lately... Threw some new stock steering parts on it. It's begging for some rear upgrades and a manual valve body

Re: 1977 Supercab - Brown Betty
Not a lot of updates except for driving the piss outta it. Ended up moving out of Cali and just getting around to getting garage setup again. I have some upgrades for the rear and the steering coming for it.cypher wrote:Any updates on this? I love this build.

Re: Smog law change.
So they just rev it in neutral at those RPMs for a certain amount of time? Interesting. exactly. i would lean out my wagoneer and it would pass sniffer everytime. Visual is another story. i will say they tend to be much more strict with the visual when you dont have to roll on the dyno. every place...

Re: Smog law change.
Never dealt with it personally, but makes sense as they can't really put a full time 4wd on the standard rollers. I'm sure there could be some shop out there somewhere that has a front & rear roller system, but I've never seen one & it would have to be adjustable length/spread of rollers wise so as...

Check with Randy at Driven 4x4 Parts in Phoenix. 888-269-3969. I'll bet he has some in stock on trucks o...

Re: 1977 Supercab - Brown Betty
so doing some more research on this today, i think i will be going with removing the front tank and swapping the rear tank for a 38 gal
replacement. giving me the ability to mount the shocks as far forward as i want and or even doing a cantilever kit in front of the axle if they lean to far forward.

Re: 1977 Supercab - Brown Betty
That will be really tight without some major lean. I think Philo has some pics of doing his in one of his truck threads & then I think it was JKrell with the black, 90's stepside that had pics of his setup as well. I think John (JKrell) may have stuffed 12's under there - can't remember. Pretty sur...
