I remember asking John to do that out of pure laziness so I wouldn't have mismatched color fenders and he shut me down lol.

Haha, you gotta love John. Curious, why did you want them in white vs. gray?

Re: The Motley Crue: White '97 OBS Crew Cab Build
Haha, great defense with the inflatable turkey. To be honest, I don't really mind it, and like you said, with the load of crap this year has been, a little holiday cheer was welcome. Indeed, we all did. I'm still holding strong on staying stock width/stock fenders/bedsides/front bumper. Shocks under...

Re: The Motley Crue: White '97 OBS Crew Cab Build
Good eye! Yeah, my wife decided the Christmas stuff was going up early this year and I opted not to argue. I'm with you RE the difference between these and the factory alcoas. These definitely give the truck a bit more of a modified look which I am kinda liking. I figure if I get tired of it, I can ...

Re: The Motley Crue: White '97 OBS Crew Cab Build
Well, being true to form, I'm already on my second set of wheels for this thing. These street lock BTR's popped up on RDC for a price I just couldn't pass up. I loved them on my '94 and love em on the Motley Crew as well. Such a great looking wheel. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50618386533_32...

Re: The Motley Crue: White '97 OBS Crew Cab Build
Haha, yep. It was on my list when they did the bed, but I held off. After a summer of using it as the family beach mobile and washing sand out of the bed onto the top of the bumper, I knew it was time.

Re: The Motley Crue: White '97 OBS Crew Cab Build
Just a small update, but I had Dallas and his crew at Linex San Diego spray the top of my rear bumper. As usual they killed it and I'm pretty psyched on how it came out. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50383552248_15071a88a4_k.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50383555478_ed9ca90281_k.jpg ...

Re: Midwest Long Travel Build
Check out the Dorman 924-311 bed bolts. They're intended for '99 - '16 super duty trucks, but work great with minimal bolt hole modifications (I had to open up the square shaped middle holes to get them to fit on mine) to the bed.

Re: The Motley Crue: White '97 OBS Crew Cab Build
I think it's sorta dependent on what options you choose for material, stripe, stitching, etc... but figure somewhere in the $400 range. Definitely not cheap, but I figured by the time I bought a hub adapter, wheel, etc... I'd be close to that, and would still have to mess around with retaining cruis...

Re: Midwest Long Travel Build
Pretty sure they're either brackets for the front swaybar to bolt to, or for an OEM skidplate to bolt to depending on the vehicle. I think Solo's pre-fab bumper uses them as mounting points, but you're look a little bent, so probably best to just lop em off.

Re: The Motley Crue: White '97 OBS Crew Cab Build
Definitely not a cheap head unit, but I dug around for awhile and was able to find an open box unit for $450, so in the grand scheme of things, I could live with that. So worth it.
