Oh yea, forgot to mention. We buy optima's thru A&A stores locally, and they (optima) will replace battery within 5 years old if a problem..... so we recycle ours every 5 yrs. As long as date on batt is within 5 years. We took 1 back that was older and they caught that 1!!!! lol

I've had good luck with my red top optima's. 1 we have is over 15 years old, being a hand-me-down from a nascar team then thru 8 years offroad racing & now a back-up and trailer winch duty. Again older technology.. Bought new 1 for racer and have no problems. Only issues is with my buddies that drag...

I agree with 300 on cooling!! I run a c4 behind a 347, 33" tires, 4.56 gears, and a converter i believe about 500 over stock or so. We race back here in PA @ LM4W.org. I bought a set. They are pretty impressive and BIG! I haven't finished my racer yet but needed to clearance inside my spindles to fit splines thru. 30 spline at hubs, and a little tight inside ball joints....BUT I would buy again cause they are real nice pieces and the guys at RCV are very helpful w...

Hello Miss Tiffine. Mike from PA here, long time no chat. Project coming along strong from the start but slowing down to a stop the last 6 weeks. Work has us working 6 days/12 hour days. All the better to buy sum more fab parts.
