Re: Compression and cam questions
Well whatever intake you run keep it a dual plane. Your going to like the bottom end torque alot more than if you ran any type of single plane intake. A dual plane is more than capable of supplying adequate air to 5500rpm so your high end wont suffer much, but a single plane intake will kill your bo...

Re: Compression and cam questions
I dont see why that combo wouldn't work. Make sure you check your piston to valve clearance carefully. http://www.racingheadservice.com/Inform ... arance.asp
Also start with a base timing around 14btdc, and run a 190degree T-Stat. What Intake manifold do you plan to use?

Re: Compression and cam questions
at a lil less than 10:1 you can run 87 all day long. you dont really need worry about premium in till you get higher than to 12:1.
what is your base timing set to with this cam?

Re: Go Fast Alignment
I got a set of Specialty products Caster/Camber Bushings, they are a 2 piece design, +/- 3 degree, PN#24130 and supposedly you should be able to set your alignment to pretty much whatever you want. I had them set Caster at 5.5 on passenger side and 6.0 on drivers, .2 of positive camber L&R, and .15 ...

Alignment tech-(multiple threads merged)
Figured I'd start this thread, seeing as how a factory alignment will not really perform as well on our rigs vs. a stock truck. So what specs is everybody running? Specifically Caster. I'd assume that most of the daily drivers will be running as close to 0 degrees of Camber for tire longevity as pos...

Re: Dangers continuing '90
Yeah, i tried getting pics up with my digi-cam but the filesize was WAY to big to post as an attachment, so i had to use the cell phone. Modifying pics via cpu isn't my strongest suite. Im doing brakes and Balljoint Dust boots, and switching to manual hubs while i have it all apart too. Once you get...

Re: Coil Deflection
Im ditching the brackets in favor of the Beams. I dont want an 8 in lift. Not speed friendly. I just dont want the coil to bend, or deflect, and take out one of my shocks. I went back and re-read my previous post and it does look like im trying to combine beams and brackets doesn't it?

Im currently running 3.55:1 w/ 33in. BFG AT's and Steel rims. It wont light them up from a dead stop, but It runs about 1800RPM between 65-70 on the freeway and im only gettign about 16-17mpgs at best w/ the E4OD. In 4-low however i can hold it in second and it takes off like a rocket in the sand. I...

I am quite impressed by the use of the radius arm mounts as skid plate mounts. Do you have nay pictures of how the skid plate mounts closer to the trans/engine mating surface? I see one bracket that appears to go over top of the front driveshaft and im curious as how it mounts with out contacting it...
